Florida Genetics 2013
The University of Florida Genetics Institute will host its ninth annual symposium, Florida Genetics 2013, October 9-10, at the Cancer/Genetics Research Complex. The program will include distinguished guest speakers and UF faculty presenting on important topics of contemporary genetics research, as well as two poster sessions, a reception, and a juried art show.

Dr. Patrick Concannon has been named new director of the UFGI. Dr. Concannon will assume duties as director of the institute in the near future. Dr. Concannon is currently the Harrison Professor of Biochemistry and the Associate Director of the Center for Public Health Genomics at the University of Virginia.
