FGS 2025 Parking/Transportation Info

So…you registered for the Florida Genetics Symposium, but don’t know how to get there?

We’ve got you covered!

This year, the UF Genetics Institute is hosting the FGS 2025 at the Straughn Center.

The Straughn Center is located on the SW section of campus, adjacent to the Vet Med complex. If you need a more detailed map of this area of campus, here is an excellent map that can help.

Reserved Parking

Driving your car or golf cart? No worries! We have reserved the following parking areas:

Why, yes. Yes, we can.

This year, we are offering a shuttle service to our guests!

The FGS shuttle will run throughout the Symposium hours of both days (11/5 – 11/6). This will begin at 11:15am on Day 1 and around 8:00am on Day 2. The shuttle will be marked with UFGI placecards on either side of the vehicle.

There will be two primary pickup points on campus:

  1. CGRC loop
  2. Communicore Loop off of Center Drive.

A shuttle will arrive roughly every 20 minutes to bring you to the Straughn Center and back.
