Grad student presents at 2016 Florida Statewide Graduate Student Research Symposium

A student from the University of Florida Genetics Institute Genetics & Genomics Graduate Program was invited to present her research at the 2016 Florida Statewide Graduate Student Research Symposium. Carol Sá was one of 19 UF students who presented posters at the event.

Her poster was titled, “Hypertension/Blood Pressure Signature Genes and BP Response to Thiazide Diuretics: Results from PEAR and PEAR-2 Studies.”

“The Statewide Graduate Research Symposium celebrates and recognizes the outstanding scholarly accomplishments of Florida graduate students,” according to a press release. “This event will highlight the importance of graduate education, graduate research and their role in promoting knowledge.”

The Symposium was hosted by the UF Graduate School Friday, April 22, 2016 at Holloway Touchdown Terrace in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
