Congratulations Sadeem Qdaisat! Awarded A Cancer Policy Internship

Congratulations to UFGI PhD candidate Sadeem Qdaisat who recently received the Cancer Policy Internship. Sadeem is headed to Washington DC to work with Congress members on policies related to cancer care.

Sadeem Qdaisat will travel to Washington DC to start his Cancer Policy Internship with the UF Office of Federal Relations, after being selected as the candidate of the year, where he was also awarded a $25K scholarship from the Cancer Center. Qdaisat will focus primarily on legislative support related to health policy and gain unique exposure to the inner workings of the US Government in the advancement of the University’s education and research missions. He will also be working closely with Congress members on various topics including areas of impact and policy on cancer patients, cancer prevention, cancer care as well as Telehealth.

This opportunity is an integral and important part of the team charged with proactively supporting the University of Florida’s agenda on a national level and ensuring UF is a leading expert voice on important issues. We look forward to Qdaisat's Cancer Policy advocacy and ambassadorship representing the Genetics Institute, the Department of Neurosurgery, the UFHealth Cancer Center, and UF.
